Football season is here!! What's better than watching the football games while eating your favorite snacks? Football is my favorite sport, although I don't fully know what be going on during the game completely; I still love to watch it. My favorite team is the Chicago Bears; I actually write down their game schedule so I can watch their games with my favorite Football snacks. Some of my favorite Football snacks are my hot wings with veggie sticks, my mini hoagies (link to that blog is listed below), and of course my 6-layer taco dip.
My 6-layer taco dip is not super heavy, and it doesn't take long to make; so, you can definitely make it right before the game starts. When I eat my 6-layer taco dip, I always eat it with some type of tortilla chips, whether I make them from scratch or buy the store brand; that crunch just bring it all together. So, if you need a dish that can feed you and some friends while watching the game, or if you just want a dish to make for Taco Tuesday; try my 6-layer taco dip.

Ari's 6-Layer Taco Dip Recipe
Ingredients:
Ground Turkey (or ground beef)
Taco seasoning packet (1-2 packet depending on the amount of meat you have)
Sazon
Adobo seasoning
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Black pepper
1 can of refried beans
Sour cream
Shredded cheese (triple cheddar or cheese of your choice)
Shredded lettuce
Pico de gallo (or your favorite salsa)
Directions:
First put your ground turkey or ground beef in a skillet and cook it on medium-high heat (make sure to chop your meat to break it up)
When your ground meat is almost done cooking, lightly season your meat with sazon, adobo seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper then stir it to mix it well together
This is a good time to warm up your refried beans from the can and put it to the side once it's done
Once your ground meat is done cooking, drain it in a strainer to remove the oil and pour your meat back into your skillet
Then I reduce my cooking heat to medium low and add my taco seasoning packet; after I pour all the taco seasoning from the packet, I fill the packet with water and pour that into my skillet also; stir well to mix it all together
Taste your meat and add more seasoning if you need to, so the taste can be to your liking
Once your meat is done, turn off your heat on the stove top
Now it's time to layer
Choose your desired dish for your taco dip and layer your taco dip in the following order:
Refried beans
Taco meat
Sour cream
Shredded cheese
Shredded lettuce
Pico de gallo (or salsa of your choice)
Enjoy!!
